1. You will need: 1/2 cup of rice and cheesecloth. 2. Place the rice in cheesecloth and tie it in a knot. 3. Place the bag of rice in a pan of salted broth or soup for 15–20 minutes. As the rice cooks, it will absorb excess salt. 4. Remove the cheesecloth with rice from the pan. Only you will know that the soup was a little too salty.
