How to avoid bloating: the top foods that provoke abdominal bloating
Despite the undeniable benefits of some foods, they should be consumed with caution.
We would like a feeling of comfort in the stomach to stay with us after each meal. But, alas, not all foods can provide this feeling. Some cause bloating, excessive gas and other discomfort. You should not completely exclude them from the menu, but it is better to reduce the amount of consumption:
Oatmeal

It is one of the healthiest breakfast foods, however, a bowl of oatmeal can cause stomach discomfort in some people. This is due to the high fiber content in oatmeal. It happens that the body is not able to digest fiber, but it is broken down by bacteria in the large intestine - this is the cause of discomfort.
Legumes
Many people have heard that beans, lentils and peas contribute to gas. Legumes contain complex sugars that are difficult to break down by digestive enzymes. That's why it's best not to get carried away with bean dishes.

The reason, again, is the high fiber content. However, if you are very fond of flax or sunflower seeds, they can be consumed, pre-crushed, for example, in a coffee grinder.
Sugar-free sweets

They contain so-called "sugar alcohols" (xylitol, sorbitol, etc.) used to replace sugar. They tend to ferment in the intestines. Therefore, wanting to eat something sweet, it is better to make a choice in favor of regular chocolate or candy, rather than sugar-free analogs.
Cabbage
Any cabbage (both broccoli, white cabbage, and other types) contributes to gas because it contains raffinose, a complex sugar.
Dairy products

They may cause abdominal discomfort if you are lactose intolerant. Plant milk can be an alternative - the substances it contains are easier to digest than animal protein.
Fitness bars
They often contain both seeds and flakes - such food is hard for the body to digest.
Chewing gum
If you use it occasionally just to freshen your breath (i.e. chew it for 5-7 minutes and throw it away), nothing bad will happen. However, chewing gum regularly and for long periods of time can cause gas, because you absorb a lot of air through your mouth during the chewing process.
