The appearance of the first watermelons in the markets and in stores, many people perceive with delight, and immediately rush to buy them.
Meanwhile, according to doctors, there are reasons why such purchases should be postponed or, at least, treated with the utmost attention.
The fact is that farmers often use large volumes of chemical fertilizers and growth accelerators in order to quickly put the goods on sale.
In such a situation, there is a risk that a product very heavily burdened with nitrates will appear on your table.
This is fraught with allergies and poisoning, dangerous to health and even life. Alas, there have been deaths.
In addition, an early watermelon may have a fluid deficiency, since it grew under "chemistry", but never ripened.
Such a watermelon is easy to determine by weight - a large outwardly berry, being light, this is the product of the participation of nitrates.
So, the safest thing is to wait for the appearance of seasonal watermelons that grow on melons and appear towards the end of summer.
