Time is our most valuable resource, and sometimes we are forced to replace full meals with quick and convenient options like noodles or instant potatoes. However, doctors warn that eating such foods too often can harm our body.

Instant foods typically contain noodles/potatoes, dried vegetables, a broth base, and a seasoning of spices. Some of these ingredients may have a negative impact on our health, especially if consumed frequently.

Seasonings and spices used in fast foods often contain stabilizers such as guar gum. Although they give the product a thick texture, consuming them more than once a month may cause swelling. Another component that requires special care is monosodium glutamate, a flavor enhancer. It is safe in small quantities, but frequent use may cause unpleasant symptoms such as nausea, headache and vomiting.

Molasses, a preservative used in fast foods, is a product of sugar production. Its frequent use can lead to disruption of carbohydrate metabolism, which can ultimately contribute to the development of obesity or diabetes. Therefore, doctors recommend consuming such products no more than once a month and avoiding their regular use.

Additionally, fast foods are typically energy-dense, containing more than 400 kilocalories per serving, which is about a fifth of a healthy person's daily requirement. Regular consumption of such foods can lead to excess weight gain. It is also worth noting that fast food does not contain enough fiber - dietary fiber necessary for normal digestion. We need about 30 grams of fiber every day, which can be obtained from foods such as pears or almonds.

It is important to remember that the recommended daily intake of salt is 5 grams, which is approximately one teaspoon. Fast food products often contain excess salt, which can lead to high blood pressure and other health problems.

Thus, fast food can be convenient in situations where there is no time to prepare a full meal, but its frequent consumption can lead to negative health consequences. Therefore, it is recommended to limit your consumption of such foods and look for more complete and healthy alternatives.
