We didn’t even know: top foods that negatively affect health

Before purchasing your favorite products, carefully study their composition and check the quality using simple life hacks:

We carelessly buy these products in supermarkets, not always knowing that they have a toxic effect on the body. Which products should you be a little more wary of to protect yourself and your loved ones? Let's talk.

Chocolate

Today, palm oil is increasingly becoming the basis for chocolate. It replaces cocoa butter, from which the delicacy should be made. Regular consumption of such low-quality chocolate leads to disruption of the intestinal microflora and a number of gastrointestinal diseases. To make sure that you bought natural chocolate, break off a piece and listen to the sound: a low-quality bar breaks silently, while chocolate breaks with a slight click.

Honey

Unscrupulous producers often dilute honey with syrups or molasses, or heat it so that the product looks glossy and fluid on the counter in front of the buyer. They also come up with varieties of honey based on plants, from which it is impossible to make this healthy sweetness. Take note: honey made from blueberries, hazelnuts, corn, poppy seeds and chamomile does not exist!

It’s easy to check the quality of honey: roll a small amount of it onto a spoon - if it lies in layers and does not immediately flow down, you can eat it without fear. Or add a drop of iodine to a small amount of the treat - natural honey will acquire a blue tint as a result of this reaction.

Today, palm oil is increasingly present in its composition. Parmesan is especially often counterfeited. You can check the quality of the cheese by slicing it - natural Parmesan crumbles slightly. In addition, there are very few holes in it.

Trout and salmon, beloved by many, are often tinted, and dyes are usually added to the food for those fish that are grown artificially to make them look brighter and more attractive. Eating such fish can lead to various problems - from allergic reactions to serious poisoning. You can check the quality of the fish by putting a piece of butter on it. If the oil does not color, it means you have a quality product.

Instant coffee

Preparing such a drink takes much less time than brewing coffee beans and it is convenient. But instant coffee is much easier to counterfeit than grain coffee. Instead of the treasured ground grains, the bags often contain burnt sugar or soybeans. Unfortunately, there are no ways to check the quality of an instant drink, so it is better to initially opt for coffee beans.

Olive oil

Very often, dishonest manufacturers pour corn oil with a similar consistency into spectacular bottles. It is not difficult to declassify such a deception; you just need to put a bottle of oil in the refrigerator. Natural olive oil leaves a slight sediment after standing in the cold. Nothing like that will happen with corn oil.
