The dark side: the three dangers of cheese
Cheese has the power to beautify any dish, both visually and in terms of taste. But it can also ruin a lot of things....
There are plenty of cheese lovers all over the world. This product is loved for its delicate creamy flavor, sophistication and nutritional value. Sandwiches, pasta, fish and meat dishes become only more delicious if cheese is added to them, but it is also good as an independent appetizer.
There is one, but very noticeable stain on the "reputation" of cheese: like any other product, it should not be consumed in large quantities and / or too often - it goes to the side of evil and shows its harmful properties:
Contributes to excess weight gain
Cheese is a fatty product. It has a huge amount of saturated (harmful) fats, which are not good for the body, but spoil the figure. For those who control their weight and/or blood cholesterol, it is recommended to reduce the frequency of cheese consumption to twice a week and eat a little - one or two slices will be enough to satiate. Such a meal will be even more useful for the figure, if as an addition to cheese choose not bread or spaghetti, and fresh vegetables, greens.
Increases blood pressure
Despite its creamy flavor, cheese is very salty (regardless of the variety). Excessive salt intake increases blood pressure, which in turn puts a huge strain on the heart and blood vessels. Fans of cheese, suffering from high blood pressure, it is recommended to choose varieties of product with low sodium content, such as ricotta, cottage cheese or mozzarella, but it is better not to overdo it with their quantity.
Can cause of skin imperfections
Like other fermented dairy products, cheese provokes the appearance of acne and black spots on the skin. Milk products with a high glycemic index cause the production of an increased amount of sebum and increase its density. As a result, the pores are clogged, the face is covered with rashes of varying degrees of intensity. Therefore, owners of problem skin are recommended to minimize the use of cheese.
