Semolina - 110 g

Banana - 1 pc.

Milk - 500 ml

Sugar - 80 g

Salt (fine) - a pinch

Saffron - 5-6 stigmas (if possible)

Cardamom (green) - 3 boxes (optional)

Melted butter - 1 tbsp.

1. Put the saffron into the milk first. It is advisable to do this a few hours before cooking, then the milk will turn a pleasant yellow color, but it can also be done at the very beginning of cooking.

2. Put semolina in a dry pan with a thick bottom. Add melted butter and start heating over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

3. Mash the peeled banana with a fork.

4. In a saucepan of semolina and butter, crumbs should form.

5. Add sugar and salt, mix, heat everything together for about a minute.

6. Add mashed banana. Stir.

7. Pour in the milk with saffron stigmas in parts and add the crushed seeds from the cardamom pods (no dry shell of the pods is required). Stir, bring everything together to a boil, and reduce the heat to a minimum, cook the porridge for about 10 minutes.

8. Serve semolina porridge with banana can be warm or chilled.
