I offer a recipe for delicious pea porridge with meat. Boil it to the desired degree of boiledness and with spices to your liking (herbs, peppers). In my version, it is well boiled, and as spices - dry Italian herbs with paprika.

To prepare such porridge, it is easiest to take split peas. However, what is chopped, what is whole must be soaked for several hours, and keep in mind that its amount increases in volume by about two times.

Prepare peas, pork, onions, carrots, vegetable oil and spices.

Ингредиенты

Peas - 1.5-2 cups

Pork - 600 g

Olive oil - 1 tbsp. l.

Onion - 1 head

Carrot - 1 pc.

Italian herbs with paprika - 1.5-2 tsp.

Salt - to taste

1. Fry the pork pieces on all sides in vegetable oil.

2. Add onion and carrot pieces, spices and salt, simmer everything together for a couple of minutes.

3. Then add the prepared (soaked and washed) peas and pour in the water so that it is 1.5 - 2 cm higher than the peas. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium and cook under the lid until cooked, or rather, to the desired degree of digestion. Someone likes porridge with whole peas, someone is undercooked, and someone is almost mashed.

4. Pea porridge with meat is ready.

5. If desired, when serving, pea porridge with pork can be seasoned with some kind of oil and sprinkled with fresh herbs.
