Hungarian paprikash is a dish that is popular not only in Hungary, but also in Austria, in that part of it that borders Hungary. And paprikash is popular because the dish is quite fragrant, satisfying, rich and will appeal to those who love a lot of paprika in dishes. Moreover, the peculiarity of paprikash is that it uses both fresh bell pepper and ground sweet paprika. From meat, chicken or young veal are most often used.

Hungarian paprikash - a variation of the traditional dish, "paprikash" means a way of preparing meat gravy with a lot of paprika and sour cream.

We will prepare all the products according to the list and prepare Hungarian chicken paprikash. You can add garlic to the dish, I didn’t add it - I wanted the dish to retain the paprika flavor and creaminess.

Ингредиенты

Chicken fillet - 1 pc.

Sweet red pepper - 1 pc. (large)

Tomato - 1 pc. (large)

Onion - 1 pc.

Flour - 1 tbsp

Sour cream (yogurt) - 1 tbsp.

Sweet ground red paprika - 1 tsp

Salt and pepper - to taste

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

1. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.

2. In a saucepan with a thick bottom, heat up the vegetable oil. Add the sweet red ground paprika and then put the onions in the pan. Fry the onion for 3-4 minutes until it becomes translucent.

3. Cut the chicken fillet into a large cube.

4. Add the chicken fillet to the pan.

5. Fry it with onions for 6-7 minutes so that the meat is lightly browned, not fried! Add salt to taste

6. Now add flour to the dish.

7. Put sour cream. Pour the meat with water or meat broth. The broth should completely cover the meat.

8. Stew the contents of the pan for 7-8 minutes until the sauce boils.

9. Cut the tomato into small cubes. Remove the seeds from the bell pepper and cut into thin strips.

10. Add vegetables to the pan and cook paprikash over low heat for 20 minutes.

11. Serve the finished Hungarian paprikash with chicken in portions with boiled pasta or dumplings.
