In autumn, it is very easy to create a fragrant and tasty compote, because there are a lot of colorful fruits at hand - for example, plums and pears. A drink from these fruits is not only tasty, but also healthy. Both adults and children will be happy to taste it, if you offer it for dessert or an afternoon snack, for a sweet table. Compote is prepared in literally 15 minutes, and you can serve it hot on cold autumn days or chilled if Indian summer is delayed in your region!
I recommend adding lemon juice or citric acid when cooking to offset the sweetness of the granulated sugar, but you can easily do without these ingredients. Buy plums of the "Hungarian" variety - they are not sour in taste, and pears - the "Duchess" variety.

Water - 800 ml

1. Rinse plums and pears in water. Cut the plums in two and the pears in four. Remove the stones from the plums, and cut the seed blocks from the quarters of the pears.
2. Cut the peeled fruit pulp into medium slices into a saucepan and pour in the granulated sugar.
3. Pour in hot water, add lemon juice and place the container on the stove, turning on the maximum heat. Bring the contents of the pan to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and boil the compote for about 15 minutes.
4. As soon as the plums and pears give the liquid aroma and taste, turn off the heat. Cool compote as desired.
