Grated pie has been familiar to me for a long time, but I cooked it for the first time, and I liked it!

It cannot be said that it is from the series of the fastest and easiest pastries, but the taste cannot be disputed. Crispy and crumbly shortbread dough goes well with a delicate filling. Usually the pie is made with jam or jam so as not to prepare the filling separately. Today I will fill the pie with sweet cottage cheese and juicy apples with cinnamon. The combination is amazing! By the way, you can add walnuts and raisins to the filling - I'm sure it will be even tastier.

We will start the preparation of grated pie with cottage cheese and apples with shortcrust pastry. We need the following ingredients.

Dough:

Margarine (or butter) - 200 g

Sugar - 200 g

Chicken egg - 2 pcs.

Flour - 600 g

Baking powder - 1 sachet (10 g)

Filling:

Curd - 180 g

Sour cream - 2 tbsp.

Sugar - 2 tbsp

Apples - 2-3 pcs.

Cinnamon - to taste

1. Cut cold margarine or butter into small cubes.

2. We shift into a blender bowl, pour sugar. We work with the device for literally 2 minutes to get a homogeneous mass.

3. Then we drive in the eggs and mix thoroughly in a blender or with a spoon / spatula.

4. Next, sift half the flour, add the baking powder.

5. Mix until smooth.

6. Pour in the remaining flour. As soon as it becomes difficult to interfere with a spoon, we begin to form an elastic ball from the dough with our hands. We divide the mass into two unequal parts: one third and two thirds. We put each in a bag or wrap it in cling film. We put the smaller one in the freezer, the larger one in the refrigerator.

7. While the dough is cooling, let's turn to the filling. We need the following ingredients for cooking.

8. In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, sugar and sour cream.

9. Stir with a spoon until smooth.

10. Peel and core apples, cut into small cubes.

11. We take out most of the dough from the refrigerator and roll it into a rectangular layer, slightly larger than the size of the mold. We shift to a baking sheet with baking paper and level it over the entire surface, we form small sides. We spread the curd filling on top, evenly distributing it over the dough. And then apple slices. Sprinkle everything on top with cinnamon.

12. And finally we take out our little piece from the freezer. We rub it on a coarse grater directly on top of the apples. It is better to immediately divide it into small parts, otherwise the dough will quickly heat up by hand and will be reluctant to succumb to the grater.

13. Put the baking sheet in the oven, heated to 200 degrees, and bake for 30 minutes until the dough is ready and golden brown.

14. Grated pie with cottage cheese and apples is ready! Cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon and serve. Bon appetit!
