Beef heart is a very tasty offal, which is great for salads, main courses and soups. For example, I really love pickle with beef heart, and after preparing it, I always have half of the heart. Therefore, thinking about what dish to cook from this half of the heart, I decided to make a barbecue.

Of course, beef heart kebab differs from the usual meat kebab, but for a change it is very good, the main thing is not to miss the moment of preparation. This option is suitable for those who do not like skewers of fatty meat or are on a diet.

Beef heart - 500 g

Lemon - 1/2 pc.

Rosemary - 1/2 tsp

Thyme - 1/2 tsp

Salt - to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

1. The heart must be prepared for use, namely, soak in water for an hour so that blood comes out of it.

2. After we cut off the fat, films and vessels from it. Cut the heart into pieces for barbecue.

3. Then salt the pieces, sprinkle with dried herbs and ground pepper.

4. Put the pieces of the heart in a bowl and pour them with lemon juice, mix and leave for another hour, in the meantime, prepare the coals on the grill.

5. After the specified time, put the heart pieces on skewers.

6. We had an improvised brazier, built of bricks, for lack of another, but this is not such a big problem. We place the skewers on the grill, make sure that the coals smolder, not burn.

7. Periodically turn the pieces over so that they are fried evenly on all sides.

8. The heart will be ready when the droplets of blood disappear on it - immediately remove the skewers, cut one piece of meat and check the readiness.

9. Immediately put the prepared beef heart skewers on plates and serve with vegetables. Bon appetit!
