Very convenient and fast to prepare. Oven-baked meatballs with potatoes in sauce - a very hearty, tasty and easy-to-cook dish. Meatballs can be made from any minced meat, in my case it is ground beef, quite fatty. Meatballs turned out juicy, tender, just melted in your mouth.

Minced beef fatty - 300 g

Rice - 30 g

Onion - 1 pc.

Potatoes - 4 pcs.

Breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp.

Spices - to taste

Salt - to taste

Sauce:

Tomato paste - 1 tbsp.

Garlic - 1 clove

Salt - 0.25 tsp

Sugar - 1 tsp

Sour cream - 1 tbsp.

Boiled water - 300 ml

1. For meatballs, it is advisable to take fatty minced meat. Add raw washed rice to it. Rice must first be soaked in warm water for an hour or boiled until half cooked.

Chop the onion in a convenient way, I scrolled it in the processor until a homogeneous gruel, add to the minced meat. Salt, sprinkle with your favorite spices. It can be different peppers, herbs, if desired. Stir well.

2. Form small meatballs, the size of a walnut. Lightly roll them in breadcrumbs or flour. I do this so that the sauce becomes thicker later, but you can not use crackers at all.

3. Peel the potatoes and cut lengthwise into equal slices.

4. In a refractory form, fold the meatballs in such a way that slices of potatoes are inserted into the resulting free spaces. Lightly salt and sprinkle with spices.

5. For the sauce, combine tomato paste, garlic clove, salt, sugar, sour cream. Pour in warm boiled water and dissolve all the ingredients until smooth. Add what is missing to taste.

6. Pour the contents of the mold with the resulting sauce.

7. Cover with foil and put in a hot oven. Cook at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Check for doneness with a fork, the potatoes should be completely soft and the meatballs should be fully cooked. If necessary, then hold the meatballs with potatoes in the sauce in the oven for another 10-15 minutes.

8. Sprinkle the finished dish with fresh herbs. Serve with sour cream or vegetables and marinades.
