Mackerel head ear

If you usually throw away the heads of mackerel, then after preparing the fish soup according to this recipe, you will no longer do so. On fish heads, you get an excellent broth with a rich taste - by adding vegetables, you get a very noble fish soup.

Prepare ingredients for mackerel fish soup. Peel potatoes, onions and carrots. Rinse vegetables and herbs. Wash the fish heads in running water.

Mackerel head - 2 pcs.

Potatoes - 3-4 pcs. (400 g)

Carrot - 1 pc. (75 g)

Onion - 1 pc. (70 g)

Fresh parsley - 4 sprigs

Lemon juice - 10 ml

Salt - 1 tsp

Water - 1.5 l

For frying:

Vegetable oil - 4 tbsp.

1. Pour water into the pan and put the mackerel heads. Put to cook first on medium heat, and from the moment of boiling, reduce the fire to a minimum.

2. Cut potatoes into cubes.

3. Throw the potato cubes into the pan after 15 minutes from the moment the liquid boils.

4. Finely chop the onion, grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

5. Fry the chopped vegetables together for 6-8 minutes in vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, stirring regularly with a spatula.

6. Throw the vegetables into the pan 10 minutes after the potatoes. Salt. Cook everything together for another 10 minutes.

7. Then add finely chopped parsley and lemon juice to the fish soup from the heads of mackerel. After 5 minutes, remove the pan with the prepared fish soup from the stove.

8. Pour hot fish soup from mackerel heads into portioned plates, serve.
