Cordon bleu with mushrooms

Despite the mystery of the name, Cordon Bleu is not at all difficult to cook. This is a broken piece of meat, in which the filling is wrapped, and everything is fried in breadcrumbs. This is a fairly satisfying dish that you can eat even without a side dish.

To prepare cordon bleu with mushrooms and cheese, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. As meat, you can use chicken, pork, veal or turkey. I will cook with chicken. Mushrooms take any available. I will cook with wild porcini mushrooms. I already have them boiled. Mushrooms can be used instead of white mushrooms.

Chicken fillet - 800 g

Mushrooms - 400 g

Onion - 1 pc.

Hard cheese - 100 g

Egg - 1 pc.

Flour - 0.5 cups

Breadcrumbs - 0.5 cups

Salt, spices - to taste

Vegetable oil - for frying

1. Peel, rinse and finely chop the onion. Mushrooms also chop a little. Pour vegetable oil into a hot frying pan and fry the mushrooms and onions for 4-5 minutes. During this time, the onion will become softer, and the mushrooms will begin to brown a little. Cool the prepared mushroom filling a little.

2. Cut a piece of chicken fillet without cutting it to the end, and open it.

3. Chicken meat is very tender and can tear when beaten. Therefore, cover the meat with cling film and beat off with a kitchen hammer.

4. Put slices of chopped cheese and mushroom stuffing on the beaten meat. Add some salt and spices to taste.

5. Roll the stuffed meat into a roll.

6. Prepare everything for breading. Whisk an egg in one bowl. Pour flour into another, and breadcrumbs into the third. Roll each roll in flour, then dip in egg and breadcrumbs.

7. Fry the rolls in vegetable oil on all sides. Don't make a big fire. The rolls should have time to fry inside and not start to burn.

8. Fry the rolls until golden brown.

9. Cordon bleu with mushrooms and cheese are ready! Put them on a plate and serve hot.
