The drink is made by natural fermentation of crushed apples, without adding yeast. According to varieties, apples are divided into sour, sweet-sour, sweet, bitter-sweet and bitter, therefore, the ciders obtained from them are classified depending on the varieties of apples taken (sweet, dry, semi-sweet, semi-dry or traditional).
Historically, cider is considered to be an invention of the Celts. There is a mention of cider among the Scandinavians (although the Scandinavians made it more on honey). Cider is mentioned in various mythological sources - mainly Celtic and German-Scandinavian. Therefore, we consider the "cuisine" of the drink - German.
