I saw this salad a long time ago in a culinary program. I really liked its composition and appearance, and having prepared it once, fell in love for life. Light, tasty and healthy.

To prepare the Beetroot Salad with Cottage Cheese and Salmon, we will need beetroot, previously boiled until tender, soft cheese, preferably cottage cheese, salted or smoked salmon, capers, basil, olive oil, lemon for serving and Parmesan (if available).

Large beets - 1 pc.

Curd cheese - 150 g

Salted salmon - 80 g

Capers - 2 tsp

Olive oil - 2 tbsp.

Basil - a few branches

Pepper - taste

Parmesan - subject to availability

Lemon - 2 slices

1. So, beets, as I wrote above, must first be boiled, cooled, cleaned. Cut into thin slices, put on the bottom of the dish in which you will serve the salad.

2. Put thinly sliced salmon on the beets.

3. With two tablespoons, form dumplings from the curd cheese, put on the salad.

4. Sprinkle salad with capers, drizzle with olive oil and lightly pepper.

5. Top the salad with whole basil leaves and, if available, sprinkle with parmesan.

6. Beet salad with cheese is ready, you can serve it with a slice of lemon.
