Today we’ll talk about rolls and try to cook one of the variations at home - baked rolls with crab sticks. If you follow the traditions of Japanese cuisine, rolls are considered to be sushi rolls rolled with a bamboo mat.
The Japanese always use seafood as a filling. The base is round-grain rice, cooked and soaked according to a special recipe. Stuffed rice is neatly rolled into sheets of pressed nori seaweed. Most often, classic Japanese rolls are fish, rice and nori, or some other vegetable or fruit, combined with seafood.
Baked rolls are more of a European version of branded rolls. It is believed that after heat treatment, the roll becomes safer if it contains low-salted fish.

Nori (seaweed) - 1 sheet
Crab sticks (meat) - to taste
Avocado - 1/2 pc.
Hard cheese - to taste
Cream cheese (soft) - to taste
Spicy sauce - to taste
Soy sauce - to serve
Rice for sushi:
Rice round-grain - 200 g
Rice vinegar - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Salt - 1 tbsp.

1. First you need to cook rice for sushi.
2. Next, I switch the multicooker to the "keep warm" mode for another 10 minutes. Transfer the hot rice to a bowl. I drizzle with boiled rice vinegar dressing with salt and sugar. Mix quickly with a wooden spatula.
3. I cool and spread evenly with a thin layer on a sheet of nori. To prevent rice from sticking to your hands, use gloves or spread the rice with wet hands.
4. The nori sheet should be placed on the mat with the shiny side down. Leave the end of the nori without rice. Before wrapping it, wet it with water to glue the roll.
5. Approximately in the center of the nori sheet, distribute cream cheese and crab sticks. Cheese can be spread with a teaspoon, and sticks or crab meat must first be cut into cubes.
6. We will pre-peel the avocado. I'll cut it into slices. Send on top of cream cheese.
7. Grasping the bottom edge of the mat, we roll the roll. Give it a rounded shape.
8. Cut the roll into rolls. Wet the knife with water before cutting.
9. Rolls with crab sticks can be tried, but since we decided to cook the baked version, we will continue cooking. Add the spicy sauce to the rolls.
10. Carefully transfer the rolls to a sheet of foil moistened with water. Add spicy sauce with grated cheese. You can bake rolls with crab sticks without hot sauce, but simply under a cheese cap. Let's send the rolls to the very top of a well-heated oven for a few minutes.
11. The cheese has melted. Baked rolls with crab sticks with spicy sauce are ready! We try it warm with ginger and soy sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
