Chicken in honey and soy sauce

An excellent recipe for roasting whole chicken in honey and soy sauce. The chicken turns out ruddy, fragrant and very tasty.

In my recipe - small-sized homemade chicken. If you got a large broiler weighing twice as much, the baking time will increase from about an hour to an hour and a half. In addition to those offered for flavoring thyme and garlic, other herbs, roots are taken, stuffed with fruits, cereals, and vegetables. Either way, the chicken in honey soy sauce is covered in a beautiful glossy crust and soaked in a deliciously sweet note.

Chicken - 900 g

Soy sauce - 100 ml

Honey - 100 g

Thyme - 5 branches

Garlic - 2-3 heads

Hot pepper - to taste

1. Mix soy sauce and honey, pepper. The proportions vary according to taste - try it.

2. Stuff a clean chicken carcass with spicy thyme branches and garlic.

3. We connect the legs.

4. Coat with honey-soy sauce, leave for an hour in the cold for pickling.

5. We transfer the semi-finished product into a refractory form with a side, cover it with parchment compressed and moistened with water, put the chicken in honey and soy sauce in the oven (previously hot), bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for about an hour, from time to time grease with the rest of the sauce.

6. Serve chicken in honey-soy sauce on its own or with a side dish. For example, with pumpkin baked in the same marinade.
