Today we will cook tandoori chicken. This is a healthy chicken curry filled with the aroma of spices. It cooks quickly and the marinade does all the work for you.

Tandoor is the same tandoor (furnace), but Indian.
Masala is a mixture of spices, and tandoori masala is a mixture of spices that is needed to cook something in tandoori.
Since, of course, there is no tandoor at home, the recipe is adapted for the oven, where it also turns out very tasty tandoori chicken.
The hallmark of this recipe is the use of a masala yoghurt marinade that coats the chicken throughout the cooking process, making it extremely juicy and flavorful. You can marinate your chicken in the morning and then roast it for just 30 minutes when you're ready for dinner.
Tandoori chicken is classically served alongside homemade naan (flatbread) and basmati rice.

Juice of 1 lemon
Garlic - 3 cloves
Onion - 1 pc. big
Ginger - 1 large piece 6-7 cm
Chicken thighs without skin - 1.5 kg
Greek yogurt - 1 tbsp.
Salt - 2 tsp
Vegetable oil for lubrication
Fresh cilantro and lime wedges for serving
Tandoori masala:
Ground coriander - 1 tbsp. l.
Ground cumin - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1.5 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Smoked paprika - ½ tsp
Sweet paprika - ½ tsp
Cayenne pepper - ¼ tsp
Ground cinnamon - ¼ tsp
Ground cloves - ¼ tsp
Chopped nutmeg - ¼ tsp

1. In a blender or food processor, combine onion, ginger, garlic, lemon juice and oil until smooth. Pour into a large bowl. Add yogurt, salt and 1/4 cup tandoori masala and stir until smooth.
2. Dry the chicken with paper towels; season with salt. Using your hands, carefully rub the marinade into the chicken. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or up to 24 hours.
3. Preheat the oven to 200 C˚. Place a wire rack in a large baking sheet. Arrange the chicken on the grill.
4. Roast the chicken until cooked through and a thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 75°C, about 35 minutes.
5. Transfer the chicken to a plate. Sprinkle with cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
