Pickled cucumbers in Polish: homemade preparations for the winter

In winter, I really want to treat myself to delicious cucumbers, this is a great recipe for them!

This recipe was brought from the Polish city of Urshuli. Despite the fact that everyone prefers salty ones, these crispy and fragrant pickled cucumbers have a place on the festive table. Sterilization time is short, we prepare them in liter and one and a half liter jars. The recipe is given for a one and a half liter jar. And now let's start cooking crispy and fragrant cucumbers pickled in Polish.

Ингредиенты

Cucumbers - 750 g

Sugar - 6 tsp (flat)

Salt - 3 tsp

Vinegar - 120 ml

Water - 750 ml

Carrot - 1 pc.

Onion - 1 pc.

Bay leaf - 1 pc.

Allspice - 5 pcs.

Hot pepper - 1 pc. (small)

Dill (dry, umbrellas) - 2-3 pcs.

Garlic - 6 cloves

Blackcurrant leaves - 8 pcs.

Cherry leaves - 8 pcs.

1. To prepare pickled cucumbers, we need the products on the list. Cucumbers are desirable, of course, if possible, buy from grannies in the market. They have them without chemistry, and even better - from the dacha, grown with their own hands. When cucumbers are fresh, pimples with sharp spines. They just need to be dusted off.

2. Peel the onion and cut into rings.

3. Cut the carrots into rings.

4. Blackcurrant and cherry leaves are very fragrant. Wash them carefully. We boil water. When it boils, send the leaves into it. Cook for 2 minutes, add salt, sugar, vinegar to the marinade, turn off the gas and leave for at least 10-15 minutes.

5. While the marinade is infused, fill the jar. At the bottom we lay out half the leaves of cherries and currants. We spread cucumbers vertically on the leaves, put onion rings, carrots between them, add bay leaf, allspice, hot pepper, dill umbrellas, garlic. After filling the jar to the top, pour the marinade. We cover with a lid.

6. Sterilize 2-3 minutes from the moment of boiling. Remove and screw on the lid. Turn the jar upside down until it cools completely. Covering, wrapping is not necessary. When I did it for the first time, I decided to wrap it with a blanket, when I took off the blanket, the cucumbers wrinkled. I didn't repeat this mistake again.
