The recipe for green beans with bacon is a real find, especially if you are working and do not have the time and desire to stand at the stove for a long time, because it will take you less than 15 minutes to cook everything. Serve this dish as a warm salad, or as a side dish for any meat.

Green beans - 300 g
Bacon - 150 g
Olive oil - 1-2 tbsp.
White onion - 1 pc.
Pepper - taste
Lemon juice (wine vinegar) - optional
Cherry tomatoes - 5-6 pcs.
Parmesan grated (optional) - 1 tbsp

1. If the bean pods are long, cut them in half, set to defrost.
2. Boil water in a large pot, put the beans in a steamer or colander, steam for 3-4 minutes covered.
3. Transfer the finished beans to ice water for a few minutes, put them in a colander and let the water drain.
4. While the beans are cooking, heat the oil in a pan, fry the onion cut into half rings.
5. Add coarsely or finely chopped bacon - as you like.
6. Fry the onion and bacon until crispy.
7. Add the beans to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes. The dish can be peppered, salt should not be added, bacon is quite salty.
8. Stir and serve this option as a side dish.
9. If you plan to serve the dish as a warm salad, then add tomatoes for juiciness, lemon juice or wine vinegar and a spoonful of olive oil. Before serving, you can sprinkle the salad for piquancy with hard grated parmesan-type cheese.
