Gingerbread Oatmeal Cookies: Sweet Snacks

Gingerbread cookies are happiness for children and their parents. Crispy, sweet, fragrant and spicy products cannot fail to please! Not always these pastries are useful, but you want to eat cookies one after another. In this recipe, I decided to replace part of the wheat flour with oatmeal, thereby making the cookies more correct and healthy. Of course, there will be no benefit from the eaten kilogram of products, but this variant of cookies is really better than ordinary wheat baking.

Рецепт

1. In a saucepan, combine honey, sugar and hot water. We put on a small fire and, stirring, bring to the dissolution of the ingredients.

2. Put the soft butter in a convenient bowl. There we shift the yolks, carefully separated from the proteins. Grind everything with a whisk until a homogeneous mass.

3. Then, in a thin stream, pour the cooled syrup into the butter and yolks, stirring the mass with a whisk.

4. Dry ingredients follow. Sift the oatmeal, a little more than half of the wheat flour, and add soda, cinnamon and ginger.

5. We begin to knead the cookie dough with a whisk.

6. Pour the rest of the wheat flour as needed and switch to manual kneading. The dough is very soft, elastic and not sticky to hands. We form a ball, put it in a bag or cling film and leave it aside for half an hour.

7. Roll out the finished dough into a thin layer. For convenient rolling, I divide the dough into 2-3 parts and roll out in several approaches. Cut out cookies with cookie cutters.

8. We spread the products on a baking sheet with baking paper, if desired, grease with the remaining protein and sprinkle with your favorite topping: sesame seeds, oatmeal, coconut flakes, regular sugar. The culinary topping, most often used for Easter cakes, looks most spectacular.

9. Bake cookies in the oven at 180 degrees for 7-12 minutes. Products will become rosy and grow up. Keep an eye on them so that they do not burn - this is possible in a matter of seconds!
