Appetizing pies with stewed sauerkraut filling are a simple and tasty dish that will please the whole family and will not cause any trouble in the kitchen.
Pies made from ready-made puff pastry are a lifesaver for any housewife. Such pies are simple and straightforward to prepare, and always turn out very appetizing both in appearance and taste. You can constantly experiment with the composition of the filling for pies, but today I suggest preparing one of the simplest, most budget-friendly and delicious filling options - from stewed sauerkraut.
Sweet and sour, juicy, slightly caramelized sauerkraut perfectly complements soft and airy puff yeast dough. Such a filling is tasty and self-sufficient in itself, but leaves room for experimentation. By adding a little herbs, dried fruits, smoked sausage, bacon or chopped boiled eggs to the sauerkraut base, you can always prepare spectacular and varied pies that will decorate any table. Try it!
