I admit, I even have two: "when I'm lazy" and "when I'm really lazy". This Korean fried squid recipe is on the second list and in my top five fastest and laziest recipes.
A minimum of ingredients and literally 5 minutes to cook. If you can call those 2 minutes that the squid is fried in a frying pan or grill a big word "cooking".
A piquant, sweet-salty and moderately spicy sauce, tender squid meat and a pinch of fresh herbs - the appearance and taste of the dish will certainly please any connoisseur of delicious food. The finished dish can be served with a side dish, as a separate dish or as an appetizer. Try it! Perhaps you will like the spicy fried grilled squid in Korean (ojingeo tonggui)?!

Ингредиенты
Squid - 1 pc.
Garlic - 2 cloves
Ginger root - 2-4 cm (to taste)
Chili sauce - 2-3 tbsp.
Honey - 2-3 tsp.
Mustard - 1 tsp.
Soy sauce - 1-2 tsp.
Green onions - to taste
Sesame - 1 pinch or sesame oil to taste
Vegetable oil - for frying
Рецепт
1. You can use fresh or frozen squid. You can also change the proportions of the sauce ingredients to suit your taste.
2. Defrost the squid. If the squid is fresh, clean it first. Make frequent vertical cuts on one side of the squid. To avoid cutting through the flesh, place a wide knife in the middle of the squid before making cuts.
3. Mix the sauce ingredients.
4. Heat the grill pan well. You can also cook the squid on the grill or in a regular frying pan. Place the squid whole side down in the pan and fry for 30 seconds.
5. Then turn over and fry for another 30 seconds on the other side. During the process, the squid will try to curl up - just press it with a spatula to the surface of the pan so that the frying is even. If the squid is fresh, it needs to be fried a little longer - 1 minute on each side, until the carcass becomes firmer and opaque.
6. Turn the squid over and brush with sauce. Fry for 30-40 seconds (2 minutes for fresh squid).
7. Turn the squid over again and fry on the other side for another 40-45 seconds (1 minute if the squid is fresh).
8. Turn off the heat and transfer the squid carcass and sauce to a plate. Sprinkle with a pinch of green onions and sesame seeds. The squid can be served with a side dish or as an appetizer - cut into rings. Spicy fried Korean squid is ready! Serve the dish hot. Enjoy!
