Beer and Margarine Cookies

Very tasty and very simple cookies with beer and margarine can be prepared for evening tea for the whole family!

I usually make these cookies when there is an open bottle or can of beer left after a party, as they say: "it's a shame to throw it away, but it's already impossible to drink". The cookie recipe is quite simple, and you don't need many ingredients for it.

IMPORTANT: The dough is not sweet, no sugar is added to the dough itself.

I have two versions of these cookies - sweet and unsweetened. Usually for the sweet version I use sugar and cinnamon, unsweetened cookies are usually made with various dried herbs or seasonings with salt. Today we will prepare a sweet version of cookies with beer and margarine.

Flour - 2 cups

Margarine - 250 g

Beer - 100 ml

Soda - 0.5 tsp

Vinegar - 0.5 tsp

Topping:

Sugar - 3-4 tbsp

Cinnamon - 1 tbsp

1. Sift flour into a bowl, grate margarine on a coarse grater.

2. Rub flour and margarine well with your hands until crumbly.

3. Quench the soda with vinegar.

4. Now pour in the beer. You can use either light or dark beer.

5. Mix all the ingredients well and knead the dough. Cover the resulting dough with film and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

6. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Roll out the dough into a layer and make cookies using fancy cutters. The shape and thickness of the cookies can be any. Transfer the cookies to a baking sheet.

7. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.

8. Sprinkle each cookie with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Put the baking sheet with cookies in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.

9. Remove the finished beer and margarine cookies from the oven and leave them on the baking sheet until they cool completely.

10. Wonderful crispy beer and margarine cookies are a great addition to family tea!
