Unlike the Italian honey cookies "Mostacioli", the dough for "Leckerli" is made from regular flour, and many different spices are added to it, as well as nuts, dried fruits and candied fruits. The surface of the finished "Leckerli" is traditionally covered with a glaze of kirsch (cherry vodka).
In my version, I use the following ground spices: cinnamon, ginger, coriander and nutmeg. Regular peanuts are used as nuts, but almonds should be. I did not add candied fruits, and from the list of dried fruits I took white raisins.
I do not have cherry vodka, so I improvised and made a glaze of vermouth with powdered sugar, but you can use citrus juice or just water instead of alcohol.

For the dough:
Honey - 170 grams
Premium flour - about 250 grams
Nuts - 0.5 cups
Raisins - 0.5 cups
Candied fruit - optional
Spices and/or zest - 1 tsp
Baking powder - 1 tsp
For the glaze:
Kirsch (alcohol, juice, water, milk...) - 2 tsp
Icing sugar - 3-4 tbsp

1. The honey should be liquid, so if you have candied honey, melt it.
2. Add flour mixed with baking powder and all the spices to the honey.
3. Mix until smooth.
4. Stir in dried nuts and soaked and dried raisins into the resulting honey dough.
5. The dough for honey cookies "Leckerli" with different fillings is ready.
6. Spread it out on a baking surface - this can be a greased baking sheet, silicone mat or baking paper. Spread the dough into a layer about 1 cm thick, first with your hands, and then level it with a rolling pin.
7. While the cookies are in the oven, prepare the glaze. To do this, you need to mix the liquid (here vermouth ...) with powdered sugar, adding it in portions until you get a thick white mass.
Place the baking sheet with cookies in a preheated oven and bake at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
8. Remove the browned, but not dried out, Leckerly cookies.
9. Apply glaze to the surface of the hot cookies, then cut into portioned squares or rectangles.
