Simple Cheese Fondue

Cheese fondue can be served with apples and pieces of bread.

Cheese fondue - Fondue au fromage - a classic Swiss dish consisting of two types of cheese (usually Emmental and Gruyere) mashed with white wine, kirsch and seasoned. Small pieces of French bread are dipped into the hot cheese mixture.

Ингредиенты

Gruyere cheese (grated) - 150 g

Emmental cheese (grated) - 150 g

Garlic - 1 clove

Dry white wine - 1 glass

Corn starch - 1 tbsp.

Cognac - 1 tsp.

Salt (optional)

Ground black pepper

Ground nutmeg

Apples

Рецепт

1. Rub the inside of a small saucepan with garlic.

2. Pour wine into the saucepan and bring to a boil.

3. Add starch and cognac to the boiling wine and stir.

4. Pour all the cheese into the saucepan, add pepper, nutmeg and salt (optional), stir well.

Serve the cheese sauce with apple slices and bread cubes.
