Fruits are primarily vitamins, and the pleasant aroma of mint has a wonderful effect on the body.

Ингредиенты

Tea (any variety) - 10-15 g

Fresh mint - 4 sprigs

Ginger (either powdered or fresh) - 5 g

Lemon - 1 pc.

Oranges - 2 pcs.

Honey - 4-5 tbsp.

Boiling water - 1.2 l (including 600 ml of boiling water)

Cherries, currants, strawberries, etc. (optional)

Рецепт

1. Brew tea in a saucepan with boiling water (600 ml) and leave for 10-15 minutes (the brew should be quite strong, because in the process we add citrus juice + dilute with the remaining boiled water).

2. Add the zest of 1 lemon and orange to the finished brew (cut off to the white peel, because it gives bitterness).

3. Next, add 3 sprigs of mint, ginger and let it boil for 5 minutes.

4. At this time, prepare the citrus juice. Squeeze half a lemon and 1.5 oranges into a glass. We will use the remaining halves of the orange and lemon as decoration (cut into slices or cubes and set aside until the final serving).

5. When squeezing the juice, we are left with wonderful peels, which we will add to the tea leaves and now leave it to infuse, and at the same time cool the tea to room temperature (15-20 minutes is enough).

6. Now take out a beautiful jug and pour the aromatic tea leaves into it, be sure to strain it.

7. Add honey and stir thoroughly.

8. Add citrus juice and the remaining water, stir again.

9. And the final touch - throw chopped fruits and mint leaves into the mint tea.

In my version of mint tea, I also used cherries (I bought a regular bag of frozen berries) - they added piquancy to the taste, and most importantly, color (rich red).

It turned out to be a very beautiful and tasty drink for family gatherings, and just to quench your thirst (without the chemistry of Coca-Cola or any other fizzy drinks, to which we have become so addicted lately).

P.S. Some rules for making homemade iced tea:

1. Cool only at room temperature.

2. The longer the tea is steeped, the deeper the aroma will be.

3. When using honey, it is important to add it to cool tea, so it will retain all the beneficial properties (when exposed to hot water, honey loses all its benefits).

4. If we use citrus fruits with peel as a decoration for mint tea, it is advisable to drink the drink immediately, since the peel can give extra bitterness and viscosity.

That's all for now, I hope my mint tea recipe will be useful to you
