Pork with Black Beans and Fennel

Food cooked in a deep Chinese wok with a small bottom turns out aromatic, crispy, and healthier than with regular frying (constant movement and high heat do not require a lot of oil).

A wok is a good thing that can be used to cook delicious food very quickly. The only condition is to prepare and cut all the ingredients in advance. If you have any difficulties with the components, you can easily replace them with something similar (or skip them as a last resort) – there will be something different, but no less tasty.

Pork fillet – 300 g

Ground black pepper

Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp

Garlic – 1 clove

Black beans (salted, canned) – 0.25 cup

Green onions – 4 pcs

Chinese barbecue sauce – 1 tbsp

Fennel (young bulbs) – 2 pcs

Chinese allspice (dzhusai), chopped – 0.25 cup

1. Thinly slice the meat and sprinkle with pepper.

2. Heat a wok (or large non-stick frying pan) over high heat.

3. Add oil and heat. Fry the pork in batches for 30-45 seconds, placing them in a separate bowl.

4. Add crushed garlic, beans, and sliced ​​scallions to the pan. Cook for 30 seconds. Return the meat to the pan.

5. Add Chinese barbecue sauce and thinly sliced ​​fennel.

6. Cook, stirring, for another 30 seconds. Remove from heat.

7. Stir in chopped wild onion (you can try wild garlic instead). Place the finished dish on plates. Serve with rice or rice noodles (optional). Enjoy!
