Berries frozen with condensed milk

I'll say right away that condensed milk won't freeze into a lump or ice, but only the berries will harden.

I really liked this preparation for hot pancakes. I think that you can also use berries frozen in condensed milk to accompany moderately sweet cottage cheese casseroles, cheesecakes and any porridge cooked unsweetened. Prepare the available berries and good quality condensed milk for freezing. I will cook three types of berries in three identical containers, but you can also use an assortment! I will show the preparation using small strawberries, raspberries and blueberries as an example. Their quantities may vary. I have indicated the ratio of ingredients for plastic food containers with a volume of 200 ml.

Berries frozen with condensed milk
Кухня: European, десерт, калории: 186, время приготовления: 00:30

Ингредиенты

Strawberries – 10-12 pcs./up to 200 g

Blueberries – about 150 g

Raspberries – about 150 g

Condensed milk – 500-540 g

Рецепт

1. First, wash and dry the berries. Remove the sepals from the strawberries. If the strawberries are large, cut them into 2-4 pieces. Place the berries in containers.

2. Pour in condensed milk so that it fills the spaces between the berries, but does not reach the top, i.e. point-blank, because the berries will still float. Let stand so that the condensed milk also flows into the berries.

3. Place the unclosed containers in the freezer.

4. After about half an hour or an hour, press/stuff the berries into the thickened condensed milk and close the lids. Return to the freezer.

5. This preparation does not need to be defrosted for serving. The contents are scooped out quite normally with a metal spoon. The next day, we tried all types of berries frozen in condensed milk with hot pancakes. 6. I put the rest of the frozen berries with condensed milk back in the freezer until next time.

7. I'm thinking, besides pancakes, cottage cheese casserole and porridge, where else to put this deliciousness? Some kind of dessert? Just with white bread? Actually, just eating it as a cold dessert is also an option.

8. All the berries retained their original taste. The strawberries and raspberries retained their pleasant sourness, neutralizing the cloying condensed milk, the blueberries are just sweet. I wonder how it would turn out with currants and chokeberries? Maybe I'll try it next year...
