Mackerel baked in sour cream and mustard marinade

Baked in the oven with sour cream, soy sauce and grainy mustard, the fish turns out tender, with an original taste thanks to a simple marinade sauce. The sauce works wonders, turning ordinary mackerel into a delicious delicacy!

Ингредиенты

Frozen mackerel - 1.4 kg (3 pcs.)

Sour cream (15% fat) - 50 g (3 tbsp.)

French grain mustard - 1 tbsp.

Soy sauce - 2 tbsp. (30 ml)

Salt - 2-3 pinches

Ground black pepper - 1-2 pinches

Fresh dill (for serving) - 1-2 sprigs

Lemon (for serving) - to taste

1. You can use sour cream of different fat content, I used 15%. Defrost the mackerel completely before cooking.

2. Combine soy sauce, sour cream, grainy mustard, salt and pepper in a deep plate. Mix until smooth and thick – the marinade sauce is ready.

3. Rinse the fish, dry it, remove the head. Cut the carcass in half lengthwise, remove the entrails, spine, fins and small bones.

4. Prepare the remaining fish fillet halves in the same way (there are 6 pieces, this is enough for 6 people).

5. Place the fish halves in a baking dish skin side down. You can cover the bottom of the dish with parchment so that the fish does not stick during baking and the halves retain their shape.

6. Apply the prepared sauce to the fish fillet, spread it evenly over all the pieces with a spatula. Leave the fish to marinate for 20-30 minutes at room temperature.

7. Then put the pan in a preheated oven and bake the mackerel at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes. The sauce should thicken and become slightly golden during this time.

8. Fragrant mackerel baked in the oven with sour cream and mustard, served with fresh dill and a slice of lemon. Pour lemon juice over the fish before eating.

9. Mackerel baked in the oven in this way looks festive and can easily decorate the table for some family celebration.
