Personally, I have loved this drink since childhood. And although with age we move on to more "serious" drinks, I think we should not forget about kissel. Especially if it is brewed with your own hands and not from concentrates.

How to make cranberry kissel at home? All this is done quickly, easily and simply!

By the way, homemade kissel can be cooked from any other berry (for example, from blueberries, bilberries), the result will be no worse.

Ингредиенты

Fresh or frozen cranberries - 300 g

Potato starch - 2 tbsp

Sugar - 6 to 10 tbsp (depending on your preference: either sour or very sweet)

Рецепт

1. How to cook cranberry jelly: First, put a pot of water on the fire (about three liters) and immediately pour in the cranberries. (If the cranberries are "from a swamp", then they should be washed.) Wait until the water boils together with the berries.

2. Meanwhile, dissolve the starch in 1 glass of cold water (200-250 g).

3. Well, the water has boiled. Let's see what condition the berries are in. If all the cranberries have burst, then you will have to strain the water through a fine sieve or cheesecloth, otherwise you will get not jelly, but porridge. If the berries are preserved, then simply take them out of the pot. Do not turn off the stove, the water should boil. Add sugar to the pot to taste.

And now - the final and crucial moment. We need to slowly pour the starch dissolved in water in a thin stream into boiling water, preferably into the very middle of the pan. Mix everything well so that lumps do not form.

4. As soon as everything is mixed, remove the pan from the heat, because the cranberry jelly is ready! Now clench all your will into a fist and patiently wait for our cranberry jelly to cool down. And when it cools down, drink and enjoy! Your kids will definitely like cranberry jelly. That's all, all the best to you!
