Original plant milk is prepared from sunflower seeds quite quickly and incredibly simply.

This milk can be used as a drink and also as an ingredient for preparing various dishes. Prepare the necessary products.
If desired, this vegetarian seed milk can be sweetened a little with honey, sugar or any other sweetener to your liking.

Sunflower seeds (hulled) - 100 g

Water - 500-600 ml

1. Pour the seeds into a deep bowl, fill with clean water so that it covers the seeds, and leave at room temperature for 2-3 hours (or overnight).

2. Place the swollen seeds on a strainer and rinse with clean water.

3. Place the swollen seeds in a blender bowl and start blending at high speed. Gradually (in small parts) add clean water so that the seeds are crushed as finely as possible. As a result, I poured in 500 ml of water to make the milk richer. If you decide to sweeten this milk, you can do this right at this stage.

4. Using several layers of gauze or a clean kitchen towel, strain the resulting plant milk into a bowl. The seed cake remaining in the gauze can then be added to baked goods or used for salad dressing.

5. Plant-based milk from sunflower seeds is ready. You can store this vegetable milk for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
