Carrot cake is an affordable, simple, flavorful and delicious homemade option. Today I suggest making a pie with spices and boiled carrot puree. The quantities of ingredients in the recipe are given for a mold with a diameter of 20-22 cm, a glass with a volume of 180 ml.

Fresh carrots - 200 grams;
Sweet apple - 1 piece;
Wheat flour - 1.5 cups;
Sugar - 1 glass (less possible);
Eggs (not very large) - 2 pieces;
Vegetable oil (without pronounced taste and smell) - 0.5 cups;
Baking powder for dough - 2 tsp;
Vanilla sugar - 0.5 tsp;
Ground cinnamon - 0.5 tsp;
Ground nutmeg - 0.5 tsp;
Salt - a pinch;
Powdered sugar - 2-3 tbsp;
Butter for greasing the mold.

1. Wash the carrots thoroughly, peel, cut into pieces and cook until tender.
2. Place the finished carrots in a colander and let the water drain. Cool. Grind the carrots into a puree.
3. Peel and core the apple and grate it on a fine grater.
4. Add apple, sugar and vanilla sugar to carrot puree.
5. One by one, whisking each time with a mixer, add the eggs to the puree. Pour in vegetable oil.
6. Sift flour with baking powder.
7. Add salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
8. Combine dry and liquid ingredients. Mix thoroughly. The consistency of the dough should be like thick sour cream. If the dough is sticky, add a little more flour.
9. Cover the bottom of the baking pan with parchment and grease the sides of the pan with butter. Pour the dough into the mold.
10. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 40-50 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden skewer - if the skewer is dry and the dough does not stick to it, then the pie is ready.
11. Cool the cake in the pan, then transfer to a plate. Sprinkle the cooled carrot cake with powdered sugar and decorate as desired.
