Having tried a steak in this style several times in a restaurant, we will try to cook it at home. The results are tender and lack the overbearing taste of bourbon.
Rib eye steak on Bourbon Street

1 glass of water
⅔ cup bourbon whiskey
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup packaged brown sugar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 beef ribeye steaks

1. Combine water, bourbon whiskey, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice in a bowl and transfer to a ziplock plastic bag. Add ribeye steaks, brush with marinade, squeeze out excess air and seal bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
2. Preheat an open grill to high heat and lightly oil the grate.
3. Remove the ribeye steaks from the marinade and shake off any excess. Drain the remaining marinade. Grill the steaks over high heat for 1-2 minutes on each side to brown the meat. Move the steaks to a cooler part of the grill and cook an additional 2-3 minutes on each side, if needed.
