How to cook shrimp: tricks and recipes
Shrimp are not just seafood, but a low-calorie, healthy snack worthy of being on your menu.
Shrimp meat is a healthy and tasty product. It has extremely little fat, but a lot of protein, and it does not cause allergies. Cooking shrimp does not require much effort - this delicate product is prepared quickly and easily.
Frozen
Most often, frozen shrimp are sold in stores. They should be cooked a little longer than fresh ones. But first the product must be defrosted. To do this, place the shrimp in a bowl and place it under running cold water. Don’t be surprised, the water should be cold - warm water will distort the taste of the meat. Then rinse the shrimp under water and place the pan on the fire. Boil shrimp in salted water with spices to suit your taste. After 4 minutes, remove the pan from the heat and place the shrimp in a container with ice.

Fresh shrimp must be cooked immediately on the day of catching, as they quickly spoil. Boil water over high heat, add spices. Place the shrimp in the water and reduce the heat slightly. Small ones will reach readiness in 6 minutes, larger ones will take longer - 10 minutes.
Royal
King prawns differ from regular ones in their larger size and brighter pink color. Before cooking, they should also be thawed and rinsed so that the ice glaze does not affect the taste of the product.
Cook king prawns for 8-10 minutes in boiling water. A uniform reddish color indicates readiness. Before serving, you can briefly place them in cold water - this will make the shrimp easier to peel.
Chefs recommend determining the degree of readiness of a shrimp by its appearance: straight - not yet ready, twisted in the letter "C" - ready, curled into a ring - overcooked. You can also make the broth more interesting during the cooking process by adding one-third of the wine instead of water. This will give the shrimp meat a delicate wine aroma.
